Structural Steel Fabricator/Welder

Join our team as a Structural Steel Fabricator/Welder! We are seeking skilled individuals with experience in heavy structural steel who can align and assemble parts according to blueprints using MIG welding techniques. 

​

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in blueprint reading and fabrication techniques

  • Experience with MIG welding processes

  • Skilled in using power tools and hand tools

  • Strong understanding of basic math principles (including the use of how to read a tape measure)

  • Ability to operate cranes and forklifts as needed

 

Responsibilities:

  • Align and fit parts according to construction drawings and specifications.

  • Tack welds or weld components and assemble parts using specified welding equipment.

  • Visually inspect welds for proper fusion and porosity, and under-cut.

  • Set up of welding machine in proper parameters of WPS.

  • Remove high spots, burrs and cut bevels, using hand files, portable grinders and cutting torches.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools and other fabrication equipment.

Material Handler

Delta Steel is looking for a dependable and safety-minded Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you'll receive, organize, and stage structural steel and other materials to keep our fabrication shop running efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as a SkyTrak, telehandler, or forklift

  • Experience in structural steel, construction, or industrial material handling preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work outdoors in all seasons

  • Dependable, safety-focused, and a team player

 

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a SkyTrak, telehandler, forklift, or similar equipment

  • Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming materials

  • Verify shipments and complete receiving documentation

  • Label and stage materials for fabrication

  • Maintain accurate inventory and material locations

  • Keep the yard and receiving area clean, organized, and safe

  • Work closely with production and quality teams to support daily operations

General Laborer

We are looking for hardworking Laborers to join our team. Ideal candidates will assist in various tasks related to the fabrication of structural steel. This position requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating forklifts or other industrial machinery is preferred

  • Basic knowledge of reading a tape measure

  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining quality standards

 

Responsibilities:

  • Surface preparation and coating application for structural steel.

  • Assisting with the material handling and loading operations for structural steel.

  • Handle power tools and hand tools for various tasks, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
